A little looming and more

Not much to report these days. As a change in pace, I decided to try to loom some flat panels and use them as burial wraps which caused me to learn the chain stitch. :-) This white one is my first attempt. I attached some pink roses as a little embellishment.

Jeriksmoen sent this beautiful knit gown from handspun yarn to the Emmazing Grace Foundation. Thank you so very much!!! She's from the LucyBug group. LucyBug has decided to change their shipping policy and the foundation was a lucky recipient of this.

I've decided to learn to crochet. Since I don't have anyone to teach me, I bought at the suggestion of others the Learn Crochet kit from Susan Bates. I can't wait to get it.

A few weeks ago, I had a computer crash. I had been expecting it as it was over 6 years old. I'm now a proud owner of a laptop and LOVING wireless. Now, I just have to get the software I like installed.

And, I'm a proud owner of a Canon Powershot A630. My old digital was an EasyShare that was about 3.5 years old. I had started having to take the batteries out after I take a photo as it was using them SUPER FAST. I figured while we were spending money on a computer might as well get a new camera. I wonder if I'll be able to take pics as well was Wool Winder. NOT! :-)

It's good to see you posting. I'm really glad Jeriksmoen was able to connect with you. Hopefully we will stop having natural disasters here and can update Lucybug with direct links to your site SOON!

The loomed items look really soft. I love the little outfit Jeriksmoen sent too!

A new computer and a new camera. How exciting! I think the key to taking a good picture is to take LOTS of them. That way you have a better chance of getting one that looks good.

Good luck on your crocheting venture. I learned to knit the same way.

Great little wraps. I like the gown too. Good job, Jeriksmoen.

The loom wraps look very nice. I've been doing some loom knitting as well. I hope the crocheting goes well for you. I've been wanting to learn, but haven't been able to make the time yet.
