Dishcloths

I needed to veg out a bit this weekend or else I was going to explode. Things have been so stressful the last few weeks....well, months. Anyway, thanks to the wonderful DVR "House" and "Friday Night Lights" have been recording and I didn't even know it. What was that? A snicker...don't you dare laugh at me watching "Friday Night Lights." ;-)

I decided to find my cotton yarn which was packed away in a tote in the garage and try my hand at a dishcloth. I bought the yarn while on bedrest, but never used it. The first wash cloth was a basic dc that I did on a whim. I didn't like how it turned out so decided to search for a pattern on the net.
I found this one. It's simply a sc, alternating front and back loops. I like it much better.

I haven't wet either one and hope I like how they work.

Small projects like these are the best for trying out new stitches!

I quite like the first cloth. The second is nice too. I've been knitting dishcloths lately. Sometimes I get in a cotton kinda mood.

I'm seeing more and more about dishcloths on the blogs I read/come across...maybe I'll have to invest a bit in some cotton yarn and give them a try. It's been YEARS since I crocheted...are there knit ones out there (I sure there are).

Laurie, welcome! Take a look at Marcia's (commented right above you) blog. She has links to knit patterns in her most recent post and on her sidebar.
