Happy Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. We will be living in a bit for our usual holiday craziness which includes LOTS of time in the car. Among the many things that I am thankful for (and I'm not going to get too sappy today so I won't list), I'm thankful for all of you reading that have chosen to help comfort babies and their grieving families. Many hugs!

Happy Thanksgiving and Be Safe!

It's Perfect

"It's perfect." said Hannah. And, she's all that counts, right? :-) Here's the handprint quilt that I've been working on. Tuesday I went to Hannah's preschool to print her classmates' hands. This weekend, my husband entertained her while I worked.

The quilt top is complete! Yipee!! I have one more fabric to find to be used as the binding. I have been unable to make up my mind. Maybe now that I have the top complete I will.

If I don't mess it up during the quilting process or while labeling each handprint I think it's going to be great. Maybe it will raise a lot of money for her preschool at the silent auction.

Urgent Request for Burial Gowns

Bev just posted that she was emailed an urgent request for burial gowns. This just pulls at my heartstrings. I really don't have time right now, but you know I'll find some time. I thought I had some 1 lb gowns cut-out, but I can't find them. I must have already used them.

Anyway, if anyone reading would like to donate. Here's the info:

Heidi Croteau/ Birthing Suite
Speare Memorial Hospital
16 Hospital Rd
Plymouth, NH 03264
Burial gowns in all sizes are needed. Currently, we have none.

So much to do, so little time

I've been feeling a bit over-extended these days. I seem to be having difficulty keeping up with my promises and I know it's only going to get worse over the next few months. I still haven't tried out the pleater that Tracy gave me. I've been working hard on Emma's scrapbook. I have 9 pages done. Can you say SSSLLLOOOWWW?!?!

Bev's Charity Challenge Hat Contest came to an end on Oct 31. I was able to complete 25 hats, both loomed and sewn. Here are a few of the Santa hats that I haven't posted photos of yet.

The wedding gown for HAIN is clean!! I'm so happy. I was afraid it was too soiled to be able to use the lace and beading around the bottom. Clorox does wonderful things.

It took me a couple of days (yikes!) to make these 2 receiving blankets for Crafting Angels. Bev had an urgent need for some blankets. I'm so sorry that I can't get more completed, but I just can't find the time. I'm also throwing in 2 $1 fleece blankets I picked up at Walmart.

Tuesday I'm going to Hannah's preschool to do the handprints for the quilt. May the force be with me. Just keep reminding me that it doesn't have to be perfect.

Lastly, I'm setting a deadline for Nov 27th for the next Emmazing Grace Foundation donation. I personally don't have much done, but I do want to make sure that I get the loomed Santa hats and the few sewn ones in the mail for December. If anyone wants to contribute, let me know. BIG SMILE. Also, we seem to have gotten our computer issues taken care of and I'll be updating the website with some more photos and such tonight. Lastly, the accountant contacted me late last week. He's working on getting our EIN and the 501(c)3 papers completed!

Hugs to All!
